IPM & Turf Technician

Title: IPM & Turf Technician

Description:

The Turf Applicator is responsible for applying pesticides and fertilizers to turf and ornamental plant beds in order to control pests and maintain a beautiful landscape for our commercial customers. If you are a plant lover who enjoys working outdoors and problem-solving, Complete would be a great fit!

Responsibilities:

  • Mix and prepare treatments as required for effective control of landscape pests with proper PPE per label
  • Apply pesticide treatments and fertilizers to ornamental beds and turf areas as appropriate using both motorized and non-motorized equipment
  • Perform minor mechanical cleaning and fluid checking of pesticide equipment as necessary
  • Report completion of work and progress of assigned jobs back to the supervisor
  • Accurately prepare service tickets and any and all other required paperwork to properly document applications of chemicals and current conditions observed.
  • Calibrate equipment to gauge the pounds or gallons per acre of product used with the spreader or sprayer in conjunction with a supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with other coworkers to function as a team.
  • Communicate with clients as needed and professional communicate what treatments are being performed
  • Label and install signage as required throughout properties to denote what applications have been performed

Title:  Construction Project Manager

Description:  Project Managers in our Landscape Construction division plan, supervise, and oversee a wide range of commercial landscaping projects.  This role ensures that jobs are completed on time, at budget, and per the contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, understand, and interpret project blueprints.
  • Manage multiple large-scale commercial landscape projects simultaneously.
  • Prioritize all work required and schedule accordingly.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors to ensure work is properly performed, properly invoiced, and completed on time.
  • Determine/Order needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.

  • Collect all receipts and turn in paperwork to office staff for processing.
  • Fill in for foreman when necessary and/or find replacements to cover for staff shortages.
  • Participate in safety training, process training, safety inspections, and incident and accident review and reporting.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Landscape Business Development Manager to join our energetic team to help drive out business growth.

The Opportunity:

As a Commercial Landscape Business Development team member, you will play a critical role in expanding our client base in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. You will have the opportunity to identify new business opportunities for a well-known and respected commercial landscape company. You will be able to grow your skills with responsibilities like developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth. You will have the opportunity to be a key element of the team and contribute to the continued success of Complete Landscaping Service.

Your Day to Day:

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new opportunities though lead generation and market research

Build meaningful relationships with property managers, developers, and contractors

Collaborate with executive management to create ambitious business development goals and strategies

Proposal Development:

Prepare and submit compelling proposals for potential clients according to company standards

Connect with existing client and previous client base for new opportunities

Customize solutions to meet the unique needs and budgetary constraints of clients

Follow through with leads and proposals to insure the success of new projects

Networking:

Attend exhilarating industry trade shows and events to represent the company and promote our services

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with sales, estimating, and account management teams to ensure successful growth and execution of projects

Collaborate with regional managers to hand off new projects to production team

If this opportunity sounds exciting to you, and you are a charismatic, team oriented person with these qualifications :

3-5+ years of sales experience in the service industry

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Account Management, or related field

Proven record of successful business development skills and sales experience in the commercial landscaping industry or related field

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Results and growth oriented

Proficiency in Excel, Google Drive, Go I-Lawn, and other relevant business software

Knowledge of landscaping industry

Ability to travel as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
