Job Positions

IPM & Turf Technician

Title: IPM & Turf Technician

Description:

The Turf Applicator is responsible for applying pesticides and fertilizers to turf and ornamental plant beds in order to control pests and maintain a beautiful landscape for our commercial customers. If you are a plant lover who enjoys working outdoors and problem-solving, Complete would be a great fit!

Responsibilities:

  • Mix and prepare treatments as required for effective control of landscape pests with proper PPE per label
  • Apply pesticide treatments and fertilizers to ornamental beds and turf areas as appropriate using both motorized and non-motorized equipment
  • Perform minor mechanical cleaning and fluid checking of pesticide equipment as necessary
  • Report completion of work and progress of assigned jobs back to the supervisor
  • Accurately prepare service tickets and any and all other required paperwork to properly document applications of chemicals and current conditions observed.
  • Calibrate equipment to gauge the pounds or gallons per acre of product used with the spreader or sprayer in conjunction with a supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with other coworkers to function as a team.
  • Communicate with clients as needed and professional communicate what treatments are being performed
  • Label and install signage as required throughout properties to denote what applications have been performed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Work is primarily performed outdoors during all seasons, including inclement weather (heat, rain, snow, etc)
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • 2+ year of Turf Applicator Experience
  • Must possess or have the desire to achieve at least one of the following licenses – VA Pesticide Applicator License or VA Commercial Fertilizer Applicator License

Landscape Maintenance Laborer

Title: Landscape Maintenance Laborer

Description:

The Landscape Maintenance Laborer is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Foreman. Responsible for completing Landscape Maintenance throughout the Carroll County area in an efficient manner, promoting job work site safety, excellent customer service and pride in workmanship.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mow and edge established lawns using power mowers and edgers;
  • Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, saws, hedge or brush trimmers;
  • Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, or bushes;
  • Remove weeds from bedding areas;
  • Water lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler system, watering hose, or watering cans;
  • Gather and remove litter and landscape debris;
  • Ensure landscape maintenance is completed per the job specifications;
  • Demonstrate proper use of landscape equipment;
  • Perform minor equipment repairs (where applicable);
  • Demonstrate courteous and professional customer service skills;
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with crew members and supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • One or more years of prior landscape maintenance preferred.

Landscape Foreman

Title: Landscape Foreman

Description:

Landscape Maintenance Foremen are responsible for leading a crew of up to 4 members to perform Landscaping Maintenance throughout the assigned service area. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently supervising a crew to complete assigned grounds maintenance tasks each day.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, oversee, and participate in work performed by your team.
  • Operate standard grounds maintenance equipment – push mowers, zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, edgers, pruning shears, etc.
  • Teach and train team members to ensure proper procedures, processes, and quality of work are followed and achieved
  • Maintain and care for all assigned equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Lead and motivate your team to meet daily production goals
  • Follow and enforce all company safety rules and guidelines
  • Supervise crew’s use of electronic time cards through Paycom
  • Attend training classes and seminars as requested by executive management
  • Represent Complete Landscaping in a professional manner and operate with the highest level of integrity

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years commercial landscaping experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of crew management experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and DOT Physical Card

Overview

Landscape Maintenance Account Managers are client-focused, service-minded, members of the Complete Team. They play extremely active roles in the overall budgetary performance of the department by scheduling and completing assigned contracted landscape maintenance work, preparing and selling enhancement proposals, and managing labor and expenses. As an Account Manager, you interact with the Sales team, the Field Supervisors, and clients to ensure we are exceeding expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule labor, equipment, and materials to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Recruit and train staff as needed to ensure the quality of work standard is maintained
  • Visit job sites regularly to assess the quality of work
  • Monitor assigned sites for signs of insect infestations, diseases, or irrigation issues.
  • Prepare and submit proposals to clients for additional services or enhancements
  • Respond to customer requests and service concerns in a professional manner and on a timely basis
  • Manage and maintain all required paperwork (i.e. service tickets, vehicle and equipment inspection logs, etc.)
  • Adhere to and enforce safety policies and company procedures

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPING FIELD
  • 2-4 years of continuous Supervisory experience in the landscape field
  • Working knowledge of standard maintenance equipment
  • Understand and communicate standard operating practices for Landscape Maintenance on commercial sites
  • An eye for detail and quality workmanship
  • Working knowledge of email and Google Sheets helpful -but will train if experienced in the field.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License and DOT card
  • Bilingual or Spanish speaking is a plus’
