The theme for the 2016 gala was "Heart of Gold," and supports AAMC's growing cardiovascular programs. Heart disease continues to be the top killer in the United States. Just in the past year, AAMC's heart and vascular programs have cared for 3,000 inpatient cases and 17,000 outpatient cardiac visits.
